Get the Rappler experience on your Android smartphone

MANILA, Philippines – Android users can now get the Rappler experience on their smartphones via the new Rappler app for Android.

Users can download the app for free from the Google Play Store

The app requires Android 2.2 and higher and will run on most Android smartphones in the market today. The release of Rappler’s Android app follows the successful launch of the Rappler iOS app last February.

According to Michael Josh Villanueva, Rappler’s Director for Special Projects, the launch of the app represents Rappler’s commitment to mobile. “With more and more users accessing the web via smartphones it is imperative that users get the same Rappler experience regardless of platform,” he said.

Just like on Rappler’s iOS app you can read Rappler stories; watch our newscast, web shows, and other video; vote on our Mood Meter and help crowd-source the mood of the day; share stories with your community on social media, and submit tips, stories, and photos.
